Phillip Island Community Hospital (PICH) hits another major milestone.
One step closer to greater healthcare access for the Gippsland region. Victorian Minister for Health Infrastructure congratulates Higgins' continued progress on site.
Last week, we had the honour of welcoming the Minister for Health Infrastructure Mary-Anne Thomas and notable guests to our site in Cowes to celebrate the work to date.
Higgins is proud to be partnering with the Victorian Health Building Authority on this significant expansion to the Phillip Island Health Hub.
Under the management of Bass Coast Health, the two-storey addition will offer outpatient care, community-based health and a social care services with strong links to specialists and local health providers. The PICH will play a vital role in easing pressure from nearby major hospitals, including Wonthaggi Hospital, allowing them to focus on critical care, emergency care and complex surgical procedures.
Congratulations to our team, who have clocked over 32,000 work hours and remain dedicated to advancing this project on site. With the main concrete structure works now complete, we’re set to commence work on the hospital’s impressive facade and internal fitout.
