Tingirana Resort Noosa is an iconic resort in the heart of Hasting Street, Noosa Heads that engaged SJ Higgins for a four-month long refurbishment program of 36 apartments. The works were comprised of the demolition and refurbishment of 18 dual-key apartments including new lighting, kitchens, bathrooms and associated fixtures, electrical systems, glazing and hotel lift. Additionally, upgrades to the foyer and other common areas such as the gymnasium and staff amenities were also undertaken with external works involving upgrades to the pool facilities, painting and concrete cancer repairs which were undertaken via rope access.

 

The resort was completely booked, with a full house of guests arriving on the reopening date of September 1, 2017. This firm completion date meant that the late design changes and any delays required on the spot resolutions to prevent any affects to the reopening date, which was mitigated through re-sequencing of work and acceleration.

 

A high level of communication between SJ Higgins, hotel management and the four retail tenancies was crucial in ensuring that the refurbishment works had minimal impact on the operating businesses.
