Carl joined SJ Higgins Group in 1995, having graduated from The University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Planning and Design (Honours) and a Master of Building. Carl has gained extensive experience in all facets of construction including project and cost management, design development, cost planning and contract negotiation.


On a day to day basis, Carl provides leadership and direction to the national estimating team and liaises closely with the business development and construction teams in ultimately securing new business for the company.

Nick joined SJ Higgins Group in 2000 as Building Cadet whilst completing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Construction Management at RMIT. After on-site experience as a Leading Hand he progressed into a Project Management role.


In 2009 Nick was appointed as Queensland State Manager of the SJ Higgins Group providing strategic vision to the Queensland Branch and was instrumental in managing the Group’s growth, particularly the development of mining Infrastructure projects.

 

Nick was appointed a Director of the company in 2013 and continues to oversee SJ Higgins Group’s operations in Queensland.

Ken joined SJ Higgins Group in 2008 as a Senior Project Manager and has been integral in the company’s successful track record and growth in the health sector. As Construction Manager, Ken holds overall responsibility for the successful delivery of all building construction projects including quality, contract budget, program, OH&S and industrial relations. His qualifications include Bachelor of Building (Construction)and a Bachelor of Planning and Design.

 

With strong technical capabilities and a portfolio of projects across various sectors, Ken is highly regarded by clients for his consistent commitment to quality.

Terry Binyon

Terry has 20-plus years of experience delivering education, health, aged care, retail, high-end residential and government projects. He combines a collaborative and perceptive approach to construction with a depth of skill in construction methodologies.

 

Terry’s knowledge and project management skills, coupled with his ability to manage stakeholder groups, ensures that his projects adhere to program, budget and quality deliverables. This focused effort has resulted in an outstanding project delivery record.

Mario joins SJ Higgins with 30 years experience in the Construction Industry. Fulfilling roles including Building Cadet, Contract Administrator, Project Manager, Construction Manager and Operation Manager, Mario brings an extensive understanding of not just the industry itself, but the management of projects, staff and stakeholders alike. Mario has an impressive portfolio of construction experience that covers various roles, build types and market sectors including retail, industrial, commercial, aged care and community.

 

With exceptional management and problem-solving skills, Mario is an integral part of our SJ Higgins team.

Andrew Angelides

Andrew is an accomplished HSEQ Manager, highly proficient in risk management, strategic planning and implementation.

 

His diverse background includes experience from both the contractor and client side, along with 15 years’ working within the civil infrastructure sector. He has also developed a specialist expertise in the safety aspects of complex road infrastructure projects.

 

Andrew manages all HSEQ activities across SJ Higgins Group. He provides leadership and guidance in the development, execution and evaluation of health and safety functions, facilitating continuous improvement and excellence.

Naude is a results-oriented Health, Safety and Quality Advisor with valuable hands on knowledge gained over 10 years managing and working on varied projects throughout the UK and Australia in WHSO Commercial Positions and Project Management.

 

As the HSEQ Manager for Queensland, Naude focuses on continuously developing and implementing strategies to ensure best practice in health and safety including overseeing day to day operations, completing HSEQ audits, assessments and reports, inspecting job sites to ensure all safety requirements are met and preparing and reviewing risk assessment reports.
