
New Project: The Alfred Hospital Stage 3 Redevelopment
Our Melbourne team has been awarded the contract for the Stage 3 redevelopment at The Alfred Hospital. This is SJ Higgins Group's first project with The Alfred Hospital.
The $2.2 Million project consists of an extension of existing facilities on the ground floor including the construction of Speciality Clinic Areas, Gastroenterology Clinic Research Area and patient and visitor amenities.
New Project: Camberwell Girls Grammar School- New Sports Oval
We are pleased to announce that we have been contracted for the prestigious Camberwell Girls Grammar School. This $3.3 Million project will be constructed in two stages. Stage 1 is the construction of a new sports oval and Stage 2 is the construction of related external facilities including an amphitheatre.
New Project: Ivanhoe Grammar
SJ Higgins Group's Melbourne team has been awarded the Ivanhoe Grammar Locksley Art and Music Centre Redevelopment project. This is our first contract with Ivanhoe Grammar. Designed by Baldasso Cortese Architects, the project is a refurbishment and extension to the existing arts and music centre building. The project will be completed over two stages, with Stage 1 set to start in April 2013.

CEPFI Commendation for Hartwell Primary School
Congratulations to Baldasso Cortese for receiving the CEPFI Commendation Award for the Hartwell Primary School.
The Hartwell Primary School Project was three phased staged refurbishment, demolition and construction of new school buildings in live primary school environment.

New Projects: Liebherr Newman and Redcliffe, Western Australia
SJ Higgins Group QLD has recently been appointed head contractor for two Liebherr projects in Redcliffe and Newman.
Liebherr Perth is the construction of a 5,000m² warehouse, including refurbishment and expansion of existing office.
Liebherr Newman, located in the remote Pilbara involves the construction of a 1,500m² warehouse and office complex to service mining sector.

New Appointment for Melbourne Office
SJ Higgins Group has appointed Nick Raselli as its new National Business Development Manager. Nick has been with the company since 2000 and is also the current Queensland State Manager.
We are very excited about his return to the Melbourne office after having spent the last 3 years in Queensland. Nick joined SJ Higgins Group in 2000 as Building Cadet whilst completing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Construction Management at RMIT. In 2009 Nick was appointed as Queensland State Manager of the SJ Higgins Group providing strategic vision to the Queensland Branch and was instrumental in managing the Group’s growth, particularly the development of mining Infrastructure projects. Nick continues his role as the Queensland State Manager.
Nick will use his extensive project history and management background to promote further growth of the SJ Higgins brand.
New Project: Maroondah Hospital Upgrade
Our Melbourne Team has been awarded the Maroondah Hospital Upgrade project. Valued at $16 Million, this project includes construction of a new level with a total of additional 64 beds.

New Appointment: Queensland Construction ManagerSJ Higgins Group is pleased to announce our appointment of Robert Lanskey as Queensland Construction Manager.
Robert began his career with SJ Higgins Group as a Project Manager and has quickly established himself as an excellent
client liaison and leader. Robert will manage the delivery of projects in Queensland. In his new role, Robert will be working closely with Nick Raselli, the Queensland State Manager.
New Project: The Peninsula School
We have been awarded our second contract with The Peninsula School. The project is includes the construction of a new 3-storey VCE building with a semi-basement store room.

New Project: Brighton Grammar School
Our Melbourne team is very excited to announce we have been awarded our first contract with the prestigious Brighton Grammar School. The contract is for the construction of a new stand-alone Middle School building, an ICT rich environment with resources
and specialist areas dispersed throughout the
building. The contract is valued at $15 Million.

Following the successful delivery of the 797 Ultra Class workshop at the Burton Coal Mine, our Queensland team has been engaged to construct a $14 Million eight Bay 797 Workshop, Heavy Vehicle Wash Bay and Fuel Farm at Lake Vermont. SJ Higgins Group is carrying out works as a Coal Mine Operator with a segregated Mining Lease for these works.
We have successfully completed the $15 Million Doveton Regeneration Project designed by Brand Architects. This project was a new school and community hub providing facilities from early childhood and support services to adult education. Mayflower Retirement Community has engaged SJ Higgins Groups' Melbourne team for the $36 Million development in Brighton, the largest single project for SJ Higgins Group.
Stage 2 comprises a new three-level building consisting of 35 two bedroom luxury apartments and 13 aged care bedrooms with ensuites. There are also corporate and administrative areas, event room, hydrotherapy pool, cafe with a commercial kitchen, library, state of the art communication and security systems and a roof top garden terrace with alfresco dining area.
Stage 3 features two luxury apartment buildings, four levels including basement car park and the two levels. Scope of works includes 25 apartments with two bedrooms and balconies, vertical transportation and state of the art communication and security systems. All works will be undertake within an operational facility.
Monash Medical Centre Paediatrics Interim Works Project
Our Melbourne team has successfully delivered the complex and highly challenging project at the Monash Medical Centre in Clayton. The Monash Children’s acute and intensive
care project featured the expansion of the
neonatal intensive care, intensive care and
general paediatric wards. The main aim of this project was to double the number of paediatric
intensive care beds. The project was an interim
solution to meet the increased demand on
the currently available facilities.

Wintringham was rewarded the prestigious
United Nations Scroll of Honour in
2011. This Award is the most prestigious
human settlements award in the world.
This is the first time that Australians or
aged care projects have been recognised.
The Eunice Seddon House in Dandenong is a $13 million joint venture between Wintringham and Wallara, a leading aged-care provider for older disadvantaged people and a disability support provider, on a 6.5 Hectare site in dandenong. This pioneering integrated care facility is the first of its kind in Victoria.
