Our team has been engaged on a Design and Construct Contract basis as a Coal Mine Operator by the Department of Mines and Energy to operate under the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act. SJ Higgins Group can manage any Mining Lease segregated for construction as Coal Mine Operation with a fully developed Health and Safety Management System as required by the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act.

Our Construction and Estimating team work closely with Architects and Engineers to produce a cost efficient balance between creativity and functionality in design. We understand this critical phase of a project to achieve the best outcome for our clients. Our team will select the appropriate design and services consultants to ensure that the project objectives are met.
We have extensive experience in the refurbishment of various built forms across a diversified range of markets including commercial, retail, health, aged care, industrial and education. All of our refurbishment projects are undertaken in a live environment with a highly successful track record.
We have the proven ability to complete projects in any eastern state and the capacity to complete national rollouts.
We have previously completed the ‘Project One’ roll out for the Coles Group in which the SJ Higgins Group solely and successfully completed the major refurbishment of one hundred Coles stores nationally over a three year period. Our Retail Division has particluar expertise in refurbishing supermarkets and other retail outlets where the construction program must ensure minimal disruption to the clients' trading activities. In addition, many of these projects were delivered whilst the building was occupied by tenants and clients.
